Pool Face Crucial Final Day

Fixture | Blackpool vs Leyton Orient
Date | 6 May 2017
Venue | Bloomfield Road

Preview
The task in hand is simple for Blackpool this weekend. Pick up three points against Leyton Orient and they’ll be competing in the League Two play-offs.

The Seasiders’ fate is in their own hands thanks to their superior goal difference and victory over the league’s bottom club would set up a two-legged affair with either Luton Town or Exeter City.

However, Gary Bowyer will refuse to look too far ahead after his side were beaten last weekend and he’ll be demanding the ideal reaction back at Bloomfield Road.

The visitors were relegated into the non-league after a 112-year stay in the EFL but have picked up points in recent weeks so will be looking to sign off on a rare positive note.

Recent Form
The Seasiders lost for the first time in four matches last weekend, going down 1-0 at Notts County. They’d previously beaten Doncaster Rovers and Cheltenham Town to boost their top seven hopes and Bowyer will be demanding another strong performance on home soil.

Orient were relegated after a 3-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra a fortnight ago and followed it up with a 3-1 home reverse against Colchester United last weekend. However, they did pick up a point at Luton and beat Hartlepool United during the past month.

Team News
Bowyer will once again have to do without the injury Jamille Matt due to a hamstring problem. Jim McAlister is a long-term absentee, but otherwise Pool have a full-strength squad to select from.

Liam Kelly, Gavin Massey, Myles Judd, Nigel Atangana and Yvan Erichot have all been missing for Orient in recent weeks.
