Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer was named Manager of the Year at the North West Football Awards last night.
The manager picked up the accolade for steadying the ship at Bloomfield Road and leading the club to promotion back to Sky Bet League One in May.
Voted for by an expert judging panel, Bowyer was selected as the recipient of the award ahead of Manchester United's Jose Mourinho and Bolton Wanderers' Phil Parkinson.
Elsewhere, right-back Kelvin Mellor missed out on the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year award. Accrington Stanley's Sean McConville claimed that one.
