Tilt: The Lads Dug In

Defender Praises Team Display Vs Peterborough

20 November 2017

Curtis Tilt was pleased with the way Blackpool ground out a terrific 1-0 win at Peterborough United on Saturday.

The defender, who put in a solid display at the back, felt that The Seasiders mixed things up perfectly to get back on track in Sky Bet League One.

"It was a great performance. We’ve been disappointed in the last couple of weeks, but all the lads dug in and played some good football," Tilt said. "When we needed to dig in, we did very well."

The return of Kyle Vassell was a big plus point on the afternoon, with the striker pressing from the front and scoring the only goal of the game.

"Vass has been injured but came in, did well and scored. He set the tone really from minute one. He did a lot of running and has been working really hard in the gym to get back."

The match-winning strike came from a fine, passage of play, which came straight from the training ground.

"We’ve been working on patterns of play on the training pitch and you could obviously see that it worked."
