Nathan Delfouneso is aiming to make the most of his starting opportunities for Blackpool - in what he describes as 'big years' for himself.
The forward is determined to have a more consistent impact on matches and knows he must perform to maintain a regular place in the side.
"These are big years for me, very big years. I’ve said that numerous times and I’ve got to make sure that I go out and put performances in on the pitch and make sure that I’m affecting things with assists, goals and everything that I can produce," the 26-year-old said.
"It’s down to me to produce that week in, week out and I’m grateful that the gaffer has given me the opportunity to be playing. I’ve got to keep taking that."
Delfouneso has mostly operated out wide so far this season, though injuries to Kyle Vassell and Mark Cullen may see him play down the middle against Northampton Town on Saturday.
"Both are big players for the team and hopefully they will be back soon because they will only make us stronger.
"Whether they are fit or injured, I’d still want to be playing in the team week in, week out. I need to make sure that I get that consistency in my performances."
The Seasiders head to Sixfields looking to respond from the disappoinment of defeat to Wigan Athletic last time out.
"We were disappointed against Wigan that we didn’t put our stamp on the game, though you have to give them credit because they’re a top side. At the same time, we felt we could have done a lot more. Hopefully we can go and put things right and bounce back on Saturday," Delfouneso added.
