Former Blackpool Academy goalkeeper Curtis Anderson helped England's Under-17s win the World Cup in India yesterday.
The Young Lions fought back from finding themselves two goals down to defeat Spain 5-2, with Phil Foden (2), Rhian Brewster, Morgan Gibbs-White and Marc Guehi securing the momentus victory.
Anderson, who scored and saved a penalty to previously help England reach the quarter finals of the tournament, spent three years in Blackpool's Academy, prior to being signed by his current club Manchester City in 2012.
The Seasiders scouted the youngster playing for Crooklands Casuals FC when he was eight-years-old, with his undoubted potential and talent standing out at such a young age.
Everybody at Blackpool Football Club would like to congratulate Curtis Anderson and the rest of the England Under-17 squad on an amazing achievement.
Well done, boys.
