Viv Solomon-Otabor was pleased to get off the mark for Blackpool with an important goal against Walsall.
The winger, on loan from Birmingham City, made an impact as a substitute just after the hour-mark, instantly finding the net in the club’s 1-1 draw.
“I’m very pleased to get my first goal for the club. Hopefully I can just take it in to Tuesday now and do more of the same,” he said.
“I think it was my second or third touch after the ball from Vass so it was good to come on and make an impact for the team.”
On another day, Blackpool would have taken more than a point from the match, having had numerous opportunities to score. Attentions will now turn to a home fixture against Bury on Tuesday night, though.
“We dug deep, worked hard and got the goal. We should have got more from the game but that’s football. We’ll now go again on Tuesday,” Solomon-Otabor added.
