Voting Still Open For North West Football Awards

Mellor In Contention For League Two Player of the Year

Kelvin Mellor is in contention to win League Two Player of the Year at the North West Football Awards.

The right-back, who scored seven goals during Blackpool's promotion season, is vying with Accrington Stanley's Sean McConville, Carlisle United's Nicky Adams and Morecambe's Michael Rose to win the award.

Former winger Bright Osayi-Samuel is also up for a prize on the night in the Rising Star of the Year category. 

Meanwhile, Gary Bowyer has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Year award alongside Manchester United's Jose Mourinho and Bolton's Phil Parkinson. 

Voting in the player categories closes on Friday (13 October) at 12pm. 

The winners of the awards will be announced when the North West Football Awards take place on Monday 13 November, 2017.
