Callum Cooke was delighted to get back amongst the goals against Oxford United, as he continues to make his mark at Blackpool.
The attacking midfielder, on loan from Middlesbrough, scored his second goal for the club on the weekend, courtesy of a strike from range.
“Any goal is a bonus but when it’s one like that, 25-yards out, I am even more happy,” he told the official website.
“In the programme (on Saturday), I said I want to be getting ten plus goals a season, so I’m happy that I’ve now got another one to my name.”
Cooke, who notched four while with Crewe Alexandra last season, has featured in every game of Blackpool’s unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One and is determined to keep up the momentum.
“I’ve come here to play football, and to play in a team that is winning week in, week out is a great feeling.
“Seven unbeaten is fantastic and it’s great to keep the momentum going.
“We’ve not set targets, but as players we just want to win every week. We won’t be getting carried away with ourselves, though.”
