Match Preview: Oxford United (H)

Latest Information Ahead of Tomorrow's Fixture

15 September 2017

Fixture | Blackpool vs Oxford United – Date | 16 September 2017 – Venue | Bloomfield Road

Blackpool host Oxford United at Bloomfield Road for the first time in 18 years tomorrow, kick-off 3pm.

The Seasiders are back at home after consecutive fixtures on the road and will be aiming to extend their current six-match unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One.

Last Time Out:

Goals from Colin Daniel, Jimmy Ryan and Nathan Delfouneso helped Blackpool secure a 3-1 victory at Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.

It was the team's first three points away from home and followed a 0-0 draw at Scunthorpe United last weekend.

Oxford, meanwhile, were left to settle for a point against Bradford City in midweek, with the Bantams scoring an injury-time equaliser to draw 2-2 at The Kassam Stadium.

Team News:

Manager Gary Bowyer will assess how his squad has recovered from a testing few days before naming his side, though Jim McAlister (fractured tibia), Mark Cullen (hamstring) and Armand Gnanduillet (thigh) remain sidelined.

The visitors expect to be without Christian Ribeiro (knee), Dwight Tiendelli and Jon Obika (both hamstrings) for the fixture, with all three having missed Tuesday night's game.
