Match Preview: Plymouth Argyle (A)

Blackpool Back In Action This Evening

12 September 2017

Fixture | Plymouth Argyle vs Blackpool – Date | 12 September 2017 – Venue | Home Park

Blackpool return to Plymouth Argyle for another Tuesday night fixture this evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Seasiders, unbeaten in their last five Sky Bet League One matches, will be aiming to pick up their first three points on the road this season.

Last Time Out:

Gary Bowyer's side picked up a good, solid point at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

Kyle Vassell and Viv Solomon-Otabor both had decent opportunities to score, however the match ended in a stalemate and resulted in a third clean sheet of the season being recorded.

Plymouth, meanwhile, lost out narrowly to MK Dons 1-0 at Home Park.

Aidan Nesbitt scored the winning goal for the visitors, with Argyle reduced to 10 men in the first-half following the dismissal of Graham Carey.

Team News:

Nathan Delfouneso is expected to return to the Blackpool squad after missing the previous match due to illness. A late decision will be made on the fitness of on loan Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff, though.

Mark Cullen (hamstring), Armand Gnanduillet (thigh) and Jim McAlister (fractured tibia) remain sidelined.

For Plymouth, Graham Carey misses out due to suspension, as does Antoni Sarcevic. Right-back Oscar Threlkfeld is back training, though not expected to feature.
