Match Preview: Scunthorpe United (A)

The latest information ahead of tomor

8 September 2017

Fixture | Scunthorpe United vs Blackpool – Date | 9 September 2017 – Venue | Bloomfield Road

Blackpool head to Scunthorpe United tomorrow in search of their first away victory of the season.

The Seasiders have recorded all three of their wins at Bloomfield Road so far and will look to extend that form on the road against a side that has made an unbeaten start to the campaign.

Last Time Out:

Sean Longstaff's goal proved enough to secure Blackpool a 1-0 victory against AFC Wimbledon, though The Seasiders had numerous opportunities to add to that tally.

Scunthorpe United, meanwhile, won by the same scoreline at Bury, courtesy of a late free-kick from Josh Morris.

Team News:

Will Aimson's return to training offers the manager several options on the formation front. The defender has been forced to sit out Blackpool's last two league outings due to injury.

Armand Gnanduillet (thigh) remains on the sidelines with Mark Cullen (hamstring) and Jim McAlister (fractured tibia).

Scunthorpe have no fresh injury concerns, so just Luke Williams (hamstring) and Jonny Margetts (knee) miss out.

Previous meetings:

Blackpool did the double against Scunthorpe United when last at this level, with the match at Glanford Park ending in a 1-0 victory.

The Seasiders are unbeaten in their last four visits to the stadium, with The Iron last victorious on home soil in April 2006.
