Joe Lumley says he’s loved his loan experience at Blackpool and is becoming a better goalkeeper from it.
The stopper, on loan from QPR, has had a big impact between the sticks since arriving at Bloomfield Road in January and has kept eight clean sheets in 17 appearances.
“I’ve loved it here,” he admitted. “It’s been a good experience and I’ve enjoyed playing with the boys and under the gaffer. It’s been good to play a consecutive amount of games and I’m learning every day. Hopefully I can get a few more clean sheets before the end of the season.”
The 23-year-old heads back down south with The Seasiders this weekend for a game against Gillingham, where he’s likely to be tested aerially.
“I don’t mind that because that’s part of my game, coming for crosses and clearing up balls. It isn’t far from where I live and I’ve got a lot of family members coming to watch, so I’m looking forward to it," he added.
