Terry McPhillips was delighted to see Blackpool come back from behind at Doncaster Rovers and book a place in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Pool’s interim manager made five changes for 2-1 victory and watched Michael Nottingham and Harry Pritchard notch their second goals for the club since making summer moves.
“That’s twice now that we’ve come from behind in this competition, so I’m delighted,” McPhillips said. “Again, the two lads from non-league have gone and scored.
“I thought we made the better chances again – the stats will say we had more shots, more corners and more entries in their box.
“The lads have been superb again and I can’t fault them,” he added.
