Terry McPhillips says Blackpool will accept being in the Emirates FA Cup third round draw, knowing that they must overcome Solihull Moors in a replay first.
The manager spoke of a tough night against the National League side, who caused a few scares in a tie that ended in stalemate.
“We’ll still be in the draw,” McPhillips said. “This is a tough place to come to and that’s why it probably got picked for the TV game. They’re flying high in their league and they do keep a lot of clean sheets.
“I thought we did better second-half and made their ‘keeper make some really good saves, but they were always a threat and we made some vital blocks. I think all three centre-halves made at least one vital block each.
“Their front two are a handful and they’ve got some good players, some big players who can play.”
Though Blackpool did create a couple of opportunities to make the breakthrough, a lack of composure and ruthlessness left the side having to settle for a re-match.
“We weren’t as clinical as we have been, hence we never scored. We’ve got to give their goalkeeper some credit because he’s made some really good saves. We’ll now go back to Bloomfield and have another go,” he added.
