Fixture | Wigan Athletic vs Blackpool – Date | Tuesday 13 February – Venue | DW Stadium
Blackpool will face Wigan Athletic tonight for the fourth time this season, with the previous league meeting in October having followed matches in the Carabao Cup and Checkatrade Trophy.
The Latics, who face Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup on Monday, will be aiming to retain their place at the top of the Sky Bet League One table, while The Seasiders will be looking to pull clear of the bottom four.
Last Time Out:
Armand Gnanduillet's 88th minute equaliser saw Blackpool draw 2-2 with Walsall on Saturday, though Clark Robertson did have a late chance to win it for The Seasiders.
Wigan's 16-match unbeaten run, meanwhile, came to an end at Southend United, with the hosts recording a 3-1 victory.
Gary Bowyer will decide whether to freshen his side up given the quick turnaround from Saturday, however there are no new injury concerns to report. Only Mark Cullen (hamstring) and Jim McAlister (bone bruising) miss out.
Wigan could also name an unchanged squad, with boss Paul Cook set to give the starters from Saturday the chance to make amends. Jordan Flores, who spent time out on loan with Blackpool last season, is continuing his injury recovery at the DW Stadium, while Shaun MacDonald is also a long-term absentee.
