Round Three of the Checkatrade Trophy sees Blackpool travel to Shrewsbury Town this evening, kick-off 7pm.
Both sides will be aiming to progress to the last eight of the competition, with the winner of the tie to be decided on the night.
Last Time Out:
Blackpool reached this stage after seeing off Mansfield Town on penalties in round two. Calum Butcher's late equaliser cancelled out Kelvin Mellor's first-half effort to force the shoot-out, where Christoffer Mafoumbi made a decisive save.
Shrewsbury, meanwhile, recorded a 2-1 victory away at Port Vale. Paul Hurst's side came back from a goal down thanks to efforts from Louis Dodds and Shaun Whalley.
Manager Gary Bowyer has confirmed that Jim McAlister will make his long-awaited return to first-team action after fracturing his tibia 11 months ago. The midfielder is set to feature as a second-half substitute. On loan QPR 'keeper Joe Lumley could be part of the squad, while the likes of Jimmy Ryan and Danny Philliskirk will be pushing for returns to the starting line-up.
Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst could rotate his side around after Sunday's FA Cup draw with West Ham. Louis Dodds and Bryn Morris could feature from the off.
