Clark Robertson is determined to hit his goal target for the season after notching his third of the campaign in Blackpool’s 1-1 draw with Southend United.
The defender, who previously found the net against Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth, has now surpassed his previous best tally in a Pool shirt, which came in 2015/16.
“That’s three now for the season, and I set myself the target of five at the start,” he revealed. “I’ve got to score two in the next nine now, which is doable I think.”
Robertson’s latest effort came in first-half added time at Bloomfield Road, as The Seasiders moved on to 46 points in Sky Bet League One.
“I thought in the second-half we came out and were on the front foot again, though it wasn’t the best of conditions and it was hard to play football. Their ‘keeper has made a great double save and they’ve hit the post, so maybe 1-1 is a fair result.
“If you’d have offered us four points out of six from the two home games, then we’d have taken it. That’s two unbeaten at home so we need to build on that,” he added.
