Trust's Junior Amputee Team Attend Southend Game

Players Meet First-Team Squad and Manager

19 March 2018

The Blackpool FC Community Trust's junior amputee team met the first-team squad and manager at Saturday's fixture against Southend United.

The junior amputees, who made history by competing in the first ever Junior League Cup, hosted by the England Amputee Football Association last month, were invited to the match by Pool boss Gary Bowyer, who had read about their achievements.

Having met the first-team squad prior to kick-off, the boys also led the side out at Bloomfield Road and took penalties against Bloomfield Bear.

The visit coincided with the 2018 Level Playing Field (LPF) Weeks of Action, which aim to celebrate access and inclusion for disabled sports fans across England and Wales.
