Curtis Tilt says he’s loved every minute of his first season playing league football with Blackpool.
The defender, who stepped up from the conference in the summer, has been a revelation in his debut campaign and recently scooped three accolades at the club’s awards night.
“I think I’ve done great, I’ve loved every minute of it,” the 26-year-old said. “I’ve started nearly every game I can, other than those where I’ve been suspended. That’s been great for me, and I’ve been happy with how my season’s gone.
“I obviously thought that, coming here, I wouldn’t get as many games this season as I previously have, mainly because I’ve stepped up from the conference. Since that first game at Bradford at the start of the season, I’ve learnt a lot from the gaffer and coaches and kicked on with my progression.”
Tilt made his 45th appearance of the season at Rotherham on Saturday and was disappointed to see the campaign end with a 1-0 defeat.
“We wanted to finish on a high and get the three points, but we had a terrible first-half. We went in at half-time and regrouped and I thought we should have got something in the second-half with the chances that we created.
“That’s been the story of our season, really. There’s been loads of ups and downs but, on the whole, we’ve done well when we look at the league table,” he added.
