Match Preview: Doncaster Rovers (A)

Seasiders Travel To The Keepmoat

27 November 2018

Blackpool and Doncaster Rovers lock horns again this evening, with both teams pushing for a place in the Sky Bet League One top six.

Just two points separate the sides ahead of the encounter at the Keepmoat Stadium, though the seventh placed Seasiders do have a game in-hand.

Five consecutive victories have Blackpool in good spirits ahead of the trip, especially in light of the club's 3-0 win against Burton Albion on Saturday.

The hosts, meanwhile, were left to settle for a point in a Yorkshire derby against Barnsley on the weekend.

Team News:

The fitness of Ollie Turton will be monitored prior to the game, with the 25-year-old having been withdrawn early in the second-half on Saturday. Similar checks will be made on Callum Guy and Mark Cullen, who both missed the Burton game due to injury.

Doncaster welcome defender Tom Anderson back from suspension, however Joe Wright continues to miss out with an ankle injury.

The Manager's View:

"They’re a good side and we played them in the cup this season, though both teams made multiple changes. We go there full of confidence and whether we use the formation again at Doncaster, I don’t know, but we’ve shown we can win games using that system."

The Ref:

Seb Stockbridge will referee tonight's match, having last officiated a Blackpool game in September, which came against Luton Town.

He has refereed a total of 17 fixtures so far this season, with his most recent coming at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
