Terry McPhillips is prepared for a physical Emirates FA Cup encounter at Solihull Moors this evening, with plenty of size and stature on show.
The manager expects a ‘Land of the Giants’ type scenario, with a couple of opposition players towering above some of the height in the Blackpool team.
“When we want to be big, we’re big, but they’re even bigger than us! It’s going to be Land of the Giants, for sure,” McPhillips admitted. “They’ve kept a lot of clean sheets and been on a good run themselves. Make no two ways about it, we’re in for a tough game.”
The task for Blackpool will be to avoid a cup upset in front of the BBC TV cameras, as the players look to put in a performance for all those watching.
“Our lads don’t get exposed like that, and certainly the Solihull boys as well. They’ll want to do well and the game has been picked because they’ll obviously think there’ll be an upset.
“We have to treat it like all our other games. We’ve studied the opposition, and I know Solihull have been at our last two games because I’ve seen them on the list at our home game against Burton and the scout list at Doncaster on Tuesday night.
“It all adds up for an exciting game, and I think that’s why they’ve chosen it to be on TV.”
