Terry McPhillips has indicated that there could be a few changes to the Blackpool side for tomorrow’s match against Bristol Rovers.
The manager, taking in to account the midweek trip to Arsenal and the effort required at The Emirates, will make a late decision on how the players have recovered.
“We’ve done some light training with those players (that played) today and trained the others a bit harder. We’ll see tomorrow how they turn up and tell us how they are,” McPhillips said.
“We’ve got an idea of the team but we’re going to have a meeting now and talk about one or two needing a rest. One or two new faces would freshen it up.
“The physical side will be a factor in how we’ve recovered. I’m sure there will be one or two with heavy legs, but the performance (at Arsenal) was outstanding.”
The fixture against Bristol Rovers is one that the manager expects to be a tight affair, given that the opposition have only conceded 14 goals this season.
“They’re well organised – I watched them at Rochdale a few weeks ago. They’re hard to get past and although they haven’t been scoring a lot, they don’t concede many either. It should be a tight game. I’m expecting a tough game for lots of reasons,” he added.
