Terry McPhillips expects a really tough Emirates FA Cup tie at Exeter City tomorrow, as Blackpool head back out on the road.
The Seasiders clock up the mileage once again with another long-distance trip, with this one seeing the team face Sky Bet League Two promotion chasers.
“It’s a really tough game again because we’re having to go all the way down south again. It only seems like yesterday that we got back from Gillingham and Arsenal,” McPhillips said.
“We may be in the league above but Exeter are near the top of their league and are doing well. We’re expecting a really tough game, but we go there full of confidence and looking to win the game.”
The manager has a couple of decisions to make in relation to his team selection for the match, with the amount of game-time and travel factored in. One or two players are also carrying minor injuries.
“We’ve had a few knocks from the other night because it was a physically demanding game against Gillingham. They work ever so hard and you’ve got to at least match that, and I thought we did before going on to play some lovely stuff in the second-half.
“Recovering is key and going again. The work we’ve done previously on organisation, different setups, formations and set plays is all in the bank. We’ll go there and give it a right, good go.”
