Assistant manager Gary Brabin was delighted to see Blackpool make it back-to-back wins and clean sheets with a 1-0 victory against Scunthorpe United.
The Seasiders, back at Bloomfield Road for the second time in four days, put in another fantastic rearguard effort, having taken the lead early on through Armand Gnanduillet.
“It’s great to get back-to-back wins. Two excellent results, performances and clean sheets. We can’t ask for more,” Brabin said.
“We were as solid as ever with Mark Howard in goal, and I thought the back four were excellent. It was great defending and another, deserved clean sheet.”
Particular praise came for Ollie Turton in that backline, who moved over from right-back to left-back to cover for the injured Marc Bola.
“He was my Man of the Match. I thought he was excellent, and arguably out of position at left-back. Defensively, in possession of the ball, carrying it up the pitch for us, and a great cross for the goal made it an excellent, all-round performance from Ollie,” he added.
