Terry McPhillips says the Blackpool squad is ready and raring to go again after a break from the action last weekend.
The Seasiders have benefitted from 11 days without a fixture and now prepare to host AFC Wimbledon at Bloomfield Road.
“The break was about rest and recovery to start with, and that was good to give them a couple of days off last weekend,” the manager said. “We’ve now had a full week of training and the lads look really sharp, hungry and very competitive. It’s an exciting time ahead now.
“The lads are really on the front foot, raring to go and looking forward to the game.”
Unbeaten in nine league matches, the task for this Blackpool side is to now put to bed a couple of disappointing draws by picking up maximum points.
“We should have more points in the league and we haven’t. We’re kicking ourselves for that, but only we can do something about it. That’s what we’ll attempt to do in the next two home games.
“We know that if we can play at the level that we’ve been at here, particularly on the Tuesday nights in the cup, that we’re a match for anyone,” McPhillips added.
