Player of the Month Vote: September 2018

Select Your Winner From Shortlist of Three

3 October 2018

You can now register your vote for Blackpool's September Player of the Month.

Competing in three different competitions, The Seasiders extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches in the month and progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Below is a summary of the three men in contention for the accolade:

Mark Howard:

Having returned to the club in the summer, Mark Howard has proved a calm and assured presence between the sticks. The 32-year-old has kept four clean sheets in six September matches and pulled off vital saves against Luton Town and Peterborough United.

Curtis Tilt:

After a fantastic first season in tangerine, Curtis Tilt offset the transfer speculation that surrounded him in August to put in some of his best performances again in September. Like Mark Howard, he helped the team to keep four clean sheets and also played a starring role up front against Bradford City, scoring the winner.

Jay Spearing:

Showing the benefits of a full pre-season with the club, Jay Spearing has led by example and set demands of the players around him. He has really stepped up to the captaincy mantle in the absence of Jimmy Ryan and also scored his first three goals for the club.
