Harry Pritchard was pleased to mark his return from injury with a run-out in the Checkatrade Trophy, despite the game ending in defeat.
The midfielder had missed Blackpool’s previous four games after jarring his back against Plymouth Argyle in September.
“I thought the kind of first half an hour at Plymouth I was playing really well, probably one of my better games, and to pick up the injury was a bit gutting really. But these things happen in football and thankfully it wasn’t a long-term injury,” Pritchard said.
“It was good to be back on the pitch last night, I’ve had about three weeks off with injury and was back training last week.
“Unfortunately, the result wasn’t there but for most people it was getting minutes in the legs that haven’t been playing.
“The plan for me was always to play 60, 70 minutes because it was my first game back after three weeks out. I felt good and hopefully I can get some more minutes in the bank over the next few weeks,” he added.
