Match Preview: Bradford City

Seasiders Face The Bantams

7 September 2018

Blackpool return home to Bloomfield Road tomorrow as they host Bradford City in Sky Bet League One.

The Seasiders picked up points at Walsall and Macclesfield Town this week, extending their unbeaten run to seven matches in all competitions.

Bradford, meanwhile, appointed former midfielder David Hopkin as their new Head Coach on Tuesday. That decision followed consecutive league defeats to Wycombe Wanderers and Fleetwood Town.

Team News:

Interim manager Terry McPhillips has something of a selection dilemma on his hands, given the returns of several players from injury. Donervon Daniels and Joe Bunney are back training with the squad, while Ryan McLaughlin featured for 45 minutes at Macclesfield in midweek. Jimmy Ryan remains sidelined with a knee injury, though.

The visitors could give a debut to former Fleetwood striker David Ball, who has joined on a season-long loan from Rotherham United. Former Seasider Kelvin Mellor will also aim to retain his place in the starting line-up.
