Terry McPhillips says there was more than an air of disappointment in the dressing room following Blackpool’s goal-less draw at Walsall.
The Seasiders controlled the game for large periods at the Bank’s Stadium, yet just couldn’t make that possession count in the final third.
Speaking post-match, here’s what Pool’s interim manager had to say…
Disappointed dressing room.
I’m disappointed and the lads are saying they’re devastated, gutted. It’s quiet in the dressing room because they know it was a chance to get three points. That would have rounded off a good week for us.
Lacking in the final third.
We haven’t quite done enough today, not for the want of trying, but we just didn’t have that quality in the final third.
Six unbeaten but much to work on.
That’s six unbeaten for us - there’s not enough wins in that for us of course, certainly not in the league – but the lads were devastated and that’s a measure of how far we’ve come.
