Ben Heneghan insists there is still a lot to play for as Blackpool head into their last four fixtures of the season.
The Seasiders' play-off hopes look all but gone as they sit 11 points behind sixth placed Doncaster, however with four big matches left, the on-loan defender knows that the team can still have a huge say on the final league table.
"We want to finish as high as we can," he said. "In the last four games, we're going to give it our all. The weekend just gone, we weren't at it, and we've just got to get back to winning ways."
Having likely missed out on the top six, Heneghan says that the players are frustrated, but are now fully focused on what's ahead.
"We know as a group that we've underachieved. We've got some really good players in that dressing room, but we've got to put it behind us now and focus on the next four games."
With Scunthorpe United up next, the 25-year-old knows a difficult game awaits, with the hosts battling to secure divisional safety.
"It's very tight down the bottom and teams are fighting for survival, so we've just got to be on our game, and when we play to our strengths, we know that we're a good side.
"We just have to concentrate on ourselves. As long as we get the tactics right and the players are on form on the day, we'll take care of it," he added.
