Match Preview: Luton Town (A)

Trip To Kenilworth Road For Seasiders

5 April 2019

Blackpool will look to upset the odds this weekend, as they aim to become the first side to beat Luton Town in 28 matches.

The Hatters currently sit seven points clear at the top of the Sky Bet League One table after equalling a club record run of 27 games without defeat since October.

It's a fantastic challenge that awaits The Seasiders, who know that a victory is much-needed in their attempts to keep play-off hopes alive.

Team News:

Ollie Turton is set to return to the Blackpool squad after coming through a behind-closed-doors game at Liverpool in midweek. The right-back has missed the last four games with a hamstring problem. Donervon Daniels and Jordan Thompson are also pushing for returns to the matchday 18. Mark Howard, Jimmy Ryan and Max Clayton remain on the sidelines.

The hosts look like they'll be able to call upon striker Danny Hylton again, who has sufficiently recovered from injury.

The Manager's View:

The Ref:

Lee Collins has been tasked with officiating the game between the two sides, having refereed Blackpool's Emirates FA Cup tie at Exeter City earlier this season.

He has taken charge of 21 fixtures so far, handing out 67 yellow cards and one red one.

Ticket News:

Supporters are asked to note that all tickets for this fixture had to be purchased in advance. NO tickets will be available to buy on the day.
