Match Preview: Scunthorpe United (A)

Good Friday Trip To Glanford Park For Seasiders

18 April 2019

Blackpool are back in action this Good Friday with an away trip to Scunthorpe United in Sky Bet League One.

The Seasiders' will be looking to get back to winning ways, with their last outing resulting in a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Peterborough United. Victory could potentially see them climb up two places in the league table to eighth.

The Iron also suffered a similar fate in their last outing, as they were comfortably beaten at home to Burton Albion 3-0. They sit just two points above the drop heading into this fixture.

Team News:

It is good news for Blackpool manager Terry McPhillips as he has an almost fully fit squad to choose from, with just long-term absentees Max Clayton and Mark Howard ruled out, along with Jimmy Ryan, who has returned to training but is not yet ready for selection.

As for the opposition, Scunthorpe are missing several players, as Tony McMahon and Ryan Colclough are certainly ruled out, while goalkeeper Rory Watson joins them on the treatment table. Josh Morris, Matthew Lund and Jordan Clarke all remain doubts.
