Club Statement

2 August 2019

Blackpool Football Club is set to usher in an exciting new era tomorrow and we are determined to make the day as memorable as possible.

The arrival of our new owner Simon Sadler, the return of manager Simon Grayson and the potential debuts of our summer signings makes the fixture against Bristol Rovers an occasion not to miss.

We want our supporters to savour the occasion and enjoy the experience of returning to Bloomfield Road in a safe and welcoming environment.

As a reminder, no smoking is permitted in any part of the stadium, including e-cigarettes; no pyrotechnics are permitted into games; there should be no persistent standing in seated areas, in gangways or in front of the stands; racist and homophobic language will not be tolerated; neither will encroachments onto the pitch, as the club is being monitored closely by the EFL in the wake of a couple of incidents towards the end of last season.

A statement was issued today without the prior knowledge or approval of the Board.  Whilst it is our intention to implement some new Stadium access rules, the Board has not yet concluded upon what those rules should be. As we go through that process, fans can be reassured that ensuring the safety, security and enjoyment of those attending our matches will be our guiding priority, as we consider exactly what our stadium access policies should be. Further details of those will be announced in due course.

In the meantime, please arrive early and let’s look forward to a great first game of this new era for Blackpool Football Club.

See you all tomorrow.
