Simon Grayson says he will make late decisions on three players ahead of Saturday's match at Rochdale.
The manager is keeping tabs on the hamstring complaint that forced Nathan Delfouneso off in midweek against Gillingham, while Matty Virtue and Joe Nuttall are edging closer to returns after missing several matches.
"It’s probably a bit too early for us to see how it’s settled down for Nathan really," Grayson explained. "If there’s any doubt, then he isn’t involved. If he’s fine, then he’ll be involved. I’d rather him miss a game or two than a month or two.
"We’re also giving Joe Nuttall and Matty Virtue a little more time to see if they can be available for the weekend."
The biggest emphasis for the whole squad since Tuesday night has been recovery, especially when you factor in the journey through the night.
"Most of them would have been in bed by 4am so it wasn’t an ideal thing for any of us – the staff, supporters or the players," the manager admitted.
"We were in later today just to give the players a little bit longer for a lie-in, but we now go again and we prepare ourselves to hopefully get another positive result."
