Nathan Delfouneso is looking to get the three points over Fleetwood on Saturday and continue Blackpool’s good home form.
The Seasiders have won five of their last six matches in all competitions at Bloomfield Road and Blackpool’s number seven wants to extend that good run in tomorrow’s match.
“We’re confident heading into the fixture,” he admitted.
“We showed good character in the last game here against Maidstone in the FA Cup. We went behind to a wonder goal on their part, but we were pleased with how we reacted in that second half and I think we were worthy winners on the day.
“It’s down to us to show that character and fight again in the Fleetwood game and put on another show for the supporters.”
With the Fylde coast neighbours Saturday’s visitors in what will be a heated game, Delfouneso is expecting there to be added spice to the match.
“There is always that extra edge to these sort of games,” he said.
“Of course, you want the bragging rights, especially on your home turf, and we’re confident heading into it.
“They’re a good team and have some talented players. We’ve got to match everything they do and more, and we’ve been working this week to make sure we leave everything on the pitch and give our supporters another good day here at Bloomfield Road.”
