Grayson: Got To Improve In Tranmere Game

Manager Insists Team Can Put Things Right In Tranmere Match

27 December 2019

Simon Grayson is looking for a much more clinical performance from his side in tomorrow’s trip to Tranmere Rovers.

The Seasiders make the short trip to the Wirral on the back of two successive 1-0 home defeats, and the manager is expecting his side to make amends from the previous couple of matches.

“It’ll be another tough test on a difficult pitch, but it’s one the squad are relishing,” Grayson admitted.

“It’s a quick turnaround from the Accrington defeat, and that’s a positive thing for us as it gives us the opportunity to quickly make amends from a disappointing result in the previous game.

“We’ve got to be much better in the match than we have been previously. We’ve got to be resilient, be fearless and show just how good we can be.

“Yes, it will be a difficult match and Tranmere have some good, experienced players. But we know what we can do and if we play like I know we can, then that will give us a perfect chance to claim the points and put the last couple of matches behind us as we look to climb up the table.”
