Fellow Lancashire club Accrington Stanley are the visitors to Bloomfield Road on Thursday for a festive Boxing Day clash.
This will be the second time the two sides cross paths this season, with the Seasiders picking up a point at the Wham Stadium back in September, courtesy of a 90th minute Matty Virtue equaliser.
John Coleman’s side come into Boxing Day’s game in good form, having not lost since mid-November and have secured emphatic league victories over Portsmouth and Bolton Wanderers since then. Stanley currently lie in 17th place in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone.
The Seasiders will be looking to get back to winning ways again after the narrow defeat to Shrewsbury Town last time out ended a seven game unbeaten run in the league campaign.
Simon Grayson has no fresh injury concerns heading into the match.
As for the visitors, John Coleman is monitoring the fitness of top scorer Colby Bishop, who returned from a back injury as a substitute in last weekend’s draw at Doncaster Rovers.
Michael Salisbury will officiate the match in what is his first Blackpool game of the season.
