Donervon Daniels insists Blackpool won’t be fazed by the challenges that lie ahead, having watched a seven-match unbeaten run come to an end on Saturday.
Defeat to Oxford United was a frustrating one, yet the defender knows that the squad is capable of bouncing back quickly.
“We’ve had a few good runs throughout the season and when those come to an end, you just get your head back up and keep going,” Daniels said. “Everybody knows in this league the mental strength we have as a squad and as a unit. This isn’t going to faze us.”
As for Saturday’s game itself, it was one that Daniels felt there was nothing particularly in.
“They put an amazing free-kick in the back of the net but, apart from that, I don’t think they did anything to really challenge us. We probably were a little bit off our game in terms of moving the ball and the quickness in the way we move the ball as we normally do.
“It was a frustrating game and a frustrating result. It was not the one that we were looking for and hoping for,” he added.
