Match Preview: Accrington Stanley (A)

Seasiders Set For All Lancashire Meeting

1 February 2019

A short trip across Lancashire awaits Blackpool tomorrow, as The Seasiders face Accrington Stanley at The Wham Stadium.

Set to be backed by a strong away following, Terry McPhillips side will aim to build on a four-match unbeaten in Sky Bet League One, having drew 2-2 with Wycombe Wanderers in midweek.

The hosts, meanwhile, go in search of their first league victory since Boxing Day, however they did pick up a point at Gillingham on Tuesday night.

Team News:

Blackpool could hand debuts to Matty Virtue and Antony Evans following their arrivals on deadline day, while Mark Howard and Joe Dodoo are back in contention after recovering from injury. Skipper Jay Spearing is sidelined with the knee problem he sustained against Wycombe, though.

On-loan Newcastle United midfielder Dan Barlaser returns for Accrington after sitting out in midweek due to suspension. Sam Finlay serves the third game of a five-match ban.
