Match Preview: Oxford United (H)

Seasiders Set To Face The U's

22 February 2019

Blackpool will hope that the return of several players will aid the side in extending an unbeaten league run when hosting Oxford United tomorrow.

The Seasiders have been in fine form over the last seven games, though there has still been a sense of disappointment with consecutive draws.

Oxford, beaten 4-2 at Accrington Stanley in midweek, will be aiming to end a run of six games without victory.

Team News:

Blackpool look set to welcome back Jay Spearing and Jordan Thompson from injury and illness, respectively, though Marc Bola remains sidelined with a hamstring problem. Chris Long should be fine to play.

The visitors hope to have Gavin Whyte available for selection again after he missed the trip to Accrington due to a head injury. Midfielder Cameron Brannagan is unavailable because of suspension, while Jamie Mackie is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

The Manager's View:

The Ref:

Andy Haines, who has officiated 29 matches so far this season, will referee the fixture at Bloomfield Road.

He was last here in December, when Blackpool saw off Solihull Moors in an Emirates FA Cup replay.
