Manager Terry McPhillips thought Nya Kirby made a terrific impression on his first start for the club at Charlton.
The on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder has had to bide his time for opportunities after signing in the January transfer window, previously making just two appearances off the bench.
However, the 19-year-old has clearly benefitted from his adaptation process and highlighted his qualities in the goal-less draw at The Valley.
“I thought he was terrific. He’s not fazed, he can beat people and he’s got a great temperament,” McPhillips said.
“He passes the ball nicely, does his defending and he’ll have a fight with a big lad, like he did when he came on last week. I like him a lot.”
