Spearing And Team-Mates Take To The Pleasure Beach In Support of Stephen Darby

Players Ride The Big One To Raise Awareness And Funds For MND Research

4 July 2019

Jay Spearing roped in some of his Blackpool team-mates for the 'Stephen Darby Baby Challenge' at the Pleasure Beach yesterday.

The challenge, which sees people chant 'Stephen Darby Baby' to the tune of the Human League's 'Don't You Want Me Baby', is being done in support of Jay's friend and former Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers' team-mate Stephen Darby, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in September 2018.

Jay was nominated to take part in the challenge by ex-Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer and ex-Liverpool full-back Stephen Warnock, however neither expected him to reach new heights with it.

Watch what happened when the players rode 'The Big One' and sang their hearts out on the massive drop.

A big thank-you must go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for allowing us access to film the challenge.
