Managing Director Ben Hatton has praised the ‘incredible’ support that the club is receiving from fans and the community this summer.
Strong season ticket sales and an innovative sponsorship deal with Blackpool Council, which will see The Seasiders promoting the town, its attractions and a mental health campaign, have brought a real sense of pride and positivity.
“We’re nearly 4,300 season tickets sold, which is incredible really,” Hatton said. “We had 1,800 season tickets back at the end of February. The support we’re seeing from fans and the community generally is incredible.”
On the pitch, there’s also the matter of recruitment, with manager Terry McPhillips aiming to make further additions following the arrival of striker Adi Yussuf.
“We’re looking at the playing squad and understanding what Terry’s needs are. We’re making steps to try and fulfil those needs,” Hatton revealed.
“We’re working within budgets, and the manager understands that, but we have plenty of flexibility within that budget. It’s helpful for him to know that he can engage and things will get done,” he added.
