Blackpool can confirm the signing of Jamie Devitt on a two-year deal, plus 12-month option.
The attacking midfielder, 28, joins the club as a free agent from Carlisle United, where he hit 22 goals in 130 games for the Cumbrians.
Named Carlisle’s Players’ Player of the Year for the past two seasons, Devitt arrives at Bloomfield Road following his best campaign to date, having scored 12 and assisted a further seven goals in 2018/19.
Born in Dublin, Devitt started his career with Hull City and progressed through the club’s youth system, winning the Youth Team Player of the Year accolade in 2007/08. He went on to make 19 first-team appearances for the Tigers, while also gaining further experience out on loan.
No stranger to the Lancashire area, he also spent two years with Morecambe between 2014 and 2016 and won another Players’ Player of the Year award during his time at the Globe Arena.
By signing for Blackpool, he becomes the third new player to arrive at the club this summer.
Jamie Devitt said:
“I can’t wait to get started. Looking around and with the buzz that is back and everything, I’m really looking forward to getting going.”
Manager Terry McPhillips added:
“Jamie is a good player with a good record of scoring and creating goals. We’re getting him at a time when he’s playing his best football and I think he’ll be a great fit for us.”
