Blackpool Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Grant as assistant manager until the end of the season.
Grant, 44, previously worked alongside boss Terry McPhillips in coaching roles at Blackburn Rovers at both academy and first-team level.
A former midfielder with Everton, Manchester City and Burnley, Grant started his coaching career with Crewe and then moved to Accrington Stanley and Chester City.
He has most recently been back at Everton in a scouting capacity.
Manager Terry McPhillips said:
"I worked with Tony at Blackburn and he is a personal friend. He was a really good assistant at Blackburn with the youth teams and is a good developer of players, a really good coach and good person. I think he’s a really good addition."
Assistant manager Tony Grant added:
“I’ve known Terry for a number of years and I’ve coached with Terry. This has had a new upturn as a club, the opportunity was there and I thought it was a good idea until the end of the season.”
