Minute's Silence Confirmed For Saturday

Supporters No Longer With Us To Be Remembered

4 March 2019

The club can confirm that a minute's silence will be held prior to kick-off against Southend United on Saturday.

Plans are in place to remember supporters and former players no longer with us, including ex-Seasiders Barrie Martin and Bobby Doyle, who passed away just recently.

The itinerary:

2.50pm - A representative from each of the different supporter groups has been invited to bring a wreath or flowers to the game in memory of all those departed Seasiders and lay them behind one of the goals, accompanied by applause from the crowd. The Former Players' Assocation will also participate.

2.59pm - A minute's silence. This will be a poignant moment where those in the stadium think about those unable to be with us on the day.

As well as the above, names of those who have sadly passed away in the last four years will be printed in the matchday programme. To submit a name for inclusion, please email before 7am on Wednesday (6 March). Please include the person's name and dates (e.g. 1937 -2017).
