Successful Operation For Howard

Goalkeeper Set For Period On The Sidelines

21 March 2019

Manager Terry McPhillips has confirmed that Mark Howard has successfully had an operation on his Achilles.

The goalkeeper went under the knife on Tuesday and will now be out of action for several months.

“Mark has had the operation now and that was a success. It has happened quickly and we wish him all the best,” McPhillips said.

“He’s optimistic and a really positive person anyway. Hopefully he won’t be out for too long.”

Though a big blow to lose Howard for an extensive period, there is better news on the availability of numerous other players for Saturday’s trip to Bradford City.

“Ollie Turton is flying now, Marc Bola is back but we didn’t put him on against Burton on Saturday, and Tilty is training. Callum Guy is also fit now,” the manager revealed.
