The Lowdown: Marc Bola

Left-Back Reveals More About Himself

19 March 2019

Back fit and available for selection, Marc Bola has made a strong contribution to Blackpool's performances this season with his attacking exploits from left-back.

The 21-year-old, who started his career with Arsenal, has made 35 appearances for The Seasiders and scored his only goal to date against AFC Wimbledon in October.

Here he reveals a bit more about himself and his general interests:

First name you had on the back of a football shirt…

It was Thierry Henry on the O2 sponsored Arsenal kit. It was blue and I think it was from 2004. I was a striker back in the day, though I know that’s hard to believe!

First junior football club…

Long Lane Pumas. We had some real ballers there.

Trademark dish in the kitchen…

Tandoori, chicken and rice is my speciality.

Favourite TV programme…

I can’t miss the repeats of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Highlight of your career so far…

Playing against Arsenal at The Emirates for Blackpool earlier this season.

World’s best player in your position at the moment…

Marcelo. He has got everything. Big game player.

Three famous people you’d invite round for a dinner party…

Jimmy Carr, Eddie Murphy and Samuel L Jackson.

Favourite film…

Takers. It has Paul Walker and Idris Elba. I’d highly recommend it.

Music you listen to before a game…

J Hus. Underground music.

Best football friend…

Ben Sheaf who plays for Arsenal.
