Ahead of Blackpool's final league match of the 2018/19 season tomorrow, it is imperative to stress that supporters MUST stay off the pitch.
The EFL has sent a reminder to clubs and supporters as to the potential safety implications and consequences that could occur as a result of pitch incursions taking place at any stage this weekend.
While end of season fixtures can be charged with emotion, the safety of players, managers, fans and match officials must remain of paramount importance.
Supporters who encroach on the pitch risk facing a banning order, as well as a criminal conviction, while the club could also face a fine.
After the match against Gillingham, the first-team players and coaching staff would like the opportunity to thank supporters by coming back out onto the pitch for a lap of appreciation. This will not happen if a pitch incursion takes place.
Please enjoy the match but respect the rules of the game.
