Simon Grayson has been pleased with his squad’s performances in recent weeks, as the Seasiders take on second placed Ipswich Town tomorrow afternoon.
Blackpool come into the game on the back of four successive wins in all competitions, scoring 11 goals in the process, and Grayson believes confidence in the squad comes with winning matches.
“Any footballer is a different player when they’re winning matches,” he explained.
“The player wants the ball more, he’ll take it in tight situations and is happy to express himself more.
“I think that’s the nature of football – the more positive results you have, the better you’ll play. Confidence breeds confidence and we’ve got to ensure as we keep playing well that the confidence in camp continues and we keep getting the results required.”
Both sides head into tomorrow’s game in good form, with Ipswich currently sitting in second place behind leaders Wycombe, but have two games in hand over the majority of the league.
“They’re obviously one of the favourites for the title this season, and rightly so,” Grayson said.
“They’ve got a lot of threats, in particular James Norwood and Kayden Jackson up top. But we’ll go there in good spirit, be hard to beat and there’s no reason why we can’t go to Portman Road and get a good result.”
